I’M WITH YOU

Submitted by Seye Adenle

Look up!
It’s a time to zip up.
Pretty queen with a big Lord
Look less, and feel loved.
Get your sparks flying
And don’t you ever give up.

Remember

the nights,
memories,
Tales,
folklores, I shared.
and
songs of light.

How you compliment hope,
With your beautiful smiles.
How you became a megaphone,
days, I search for tongue.
we strove as one.
Journeyed together as one.

Your keenly accord,
Exchanged my noise into a voice.
on same island,
Where you and I married letters,
Nurtured discipline to get papers.

In a cracky-cranky pattern,
we sailed.
Away!
On routes with pains.

Sun shine,
Sky drizzled the rain
ugliness had romance repent,
for time had matured beyond the past.
Truth be told, you are one of the best,
Knowing you, was never a regret.

Permit me to tell you new story,
That, legs had adjust into new lyrics
Your name has turned a new rhythm
We could dance again to a new music.

Rebel against norms that tamed us to fly
Why should ego made us sly?
I’m with you baby,
no need to fret.
We can rebuild
i hope you will fight?

I celebrate you, Arewa mi

You are a light,
Too big for darkness to contain.

The mountain is down now
And no more up.

Sea has turned green,
and not blue anymore.

Look back and give a smile
think right, and soar in the land

Remember, daddy cares!

I’m with you.
