Traveller, be a plea to the
circumstance of any road
for you, is a single metal
in a primordial hand.

don’t hold your faith without
an exorcised journey;
for this, you are a penumbra.

Traveller, a caravan is a home
for a dedicated faith in a
purgatory. But, stay awake in
your eye; and do a chant to Ogun
in a blotched soul of your mind.
and even Idanre is a hill; saccharin,
but still saddens with grief.

Even as a Samaritan,
you that passes the maverick road
holds a famished cock to sanctity—
that your voyage should salvage a good fortune
before Oyin’s night plea
holds you beside the Lagoon.
